Build, Run, Own, explained
Build, Run, Own is Enquirer Consulting Group's fixed four-month engagement: we design, staff and run a complete outbound sales business unit for a US medical or pharma company, prove it on live numbers, then hand the working unit and a trained operator to your team to own. You end the engagement owning the asset. We are not embedded forever.
Two failure modes, one fix.
Companies buying outbound usually end up in one of two bad places. They rent a pipeline from an agency, and everything stops the day the retainer does. Or they sign a consultancy that embeds itself so deeply that leaving becomes the risk. Build, Run, Own was designed against both. The engagement is fixed, the handover is the deliverable, and the proof has to happen while we are still in the building. A partner contracted to make itself unnecessary behaves differently from one paid to stay.
Build. Designed around your real weak points.
We do not pitch the full menu. The unit is scoped to the gaps that are actually holding your growth back, found in discovery and the readiness review. For most US medical and pharma mid-market companies that means the outbound engine itself, the data and targeting system, and the messaging, with web, PR, video, automation or reporting added only where discovery shows a real gap. You see disciplines and one accountable team, never a row of vendors to manage.
Run. Proven in market, on live numbers.
We run the unit alongside your team for the engagement, and we prove it with results, not slides. Day-one capacity comes from warmed sending assets, so first conversations typically land in the first weeks rather than after a quarter of setup. Through the run phase a dedicated GTM operator is sourced, trained and embedded, a real person ready to own the machine.
Own. The handover is the deliverable.
At the end of four months your team owns a working machine: the sending domains and inboxes, the data and lists, the dashboards, the documented playbook, and the trained operator who has been running it. Handover is not a PDF. It is the point of the engagement, and everything before it is structured so your team can run the unit without us.
After handover: run it yourself, or keep us on the tools.
Most of the point is that you can run it without us. If you would rather we stay, an optional managed service keeps ECG operating the unit you now own. It is optional, it is scoped to what earned its place during the build, and it is never the thing we lead with.
What Build, Run, Own is not.
It is not a retainer with a new name; the engagement is fixed and ends. It is not a campaign; the unit is built to keep producing after we leave. It is not staffing; you get a working system with an operator inside it, not a resume. And it is not a pilot; by handover the unit has live numbers behind it or we have not done the job.
Frequently asked questions.
The sending domains and mailboxes, the data and lead lists, the CRM records and dashboards, the documented playbook, the messaging and sequences, and the trained GTM operator who transitions to your team. Set up in your name and handed over.
Yes. At handover the operator transitions to your team, on your payroll. That is the trade of owning rather than renting: the unit's running cost becomes yours, one person plus tooling, and so does everything it produces. We are direct about that cost because it is the honest price of ownership.
Your team runs the unit. If you prefer, an optional managed service keeps us operating it for you. Either way you own the asset, so the choice stays yours, every month.
It is enough to have the engine live, producing qualified conversations, and to have the operator trained on a running system, because day one starts from warmed assets rather than a cold start. What four months does not do is guarantee a revenue number, and we will not pretend otherwise. We show you what we have achieved on comparable campaigns and define every metric we report.
An agency runs campaigns for you for as long as you pay, and typically keeps the infrastructure and the know-how. Build, Run, Own ends with all of it in your hands. The full comparison of all five models is on our 2026 comparison page.
